You may also have heard that a baby was born in Oahu hospital with microcephaly, a congenital condition that causes an unusually small head and incomplete brain development. This condition was directly linked to a Zika infection. This can be alarming, especially if you are with child. Well here it is – 2016! - A new year and a new dog for our Dog of the Month program. This month we were featuring Macy! “Were” you ask? Yes, we are excited to report, she has already found her forever home! But we still wanted to take a moment and tell you all about her. This beautiful little terrier mix is the sweetest little girl ever! She is approximately 3 years old and was originally adopted from our shelter; but, due to circumstances beyond her control, she has found her way back to us.
Sandwich Isle Pest Solutions is proud to announce that Michael Botha, our President and CEO, has been appointed by the State Associations in Montana and here in Hawaii to be the official State Policy Affairs Representative (SPAR) to the National Pest Management Association. Michael is both honored and privileged to accept these positions, and to have a hand in increasing coordination and collaboration in order to positively influence the state legislative and regulatory bodies in the area of pest management.
Sandwich Isle Pest Solutions is proud to announce the addition of Marisol Quintanilla, Ph.D. Entomologist to the SIPS family. We are so excited to have Marisol join our team as she is only one of two Board Certified Entomologists on the island of Oahu. She brings with her a wealth of education and experience in the identification and treatment of pests that are evasive here in Hawaii and beyond. Her official title here is Entomologist, Trainer, and Quality Assurance Manager. She will also be our representative on the Copesan Technical Committee.
