Your Maui home is somewhere that is supposed to be safe, secure and welcoming for you and your family. It is supposed to be the place that you come home to after a long day at work or play to rest and recoup. However, would you feel as safe, secure and welcome if you knew that there were one or even 30 tiny invaders living in your home, eating your food, crawling through your walls and using your personal belongings as their personal chew toys? I didn't think so. Unfortunately, that is what it would be like if rodents found their way into your home. /rodent-control
You would think that you wouldn’t even have to deal with rodent control in ‘paradise’. After all, isn’t paradise supposed to be perfect? Though most people do refer to Hawaii as ‘paradise’, those of us who live and work and play here know that we have our issues just like everywhere else. Although, as far as the weather goes, we are pretty near paradise! However, that very weather that makes our state so perfect is the very weather that draws in rodents, insects, and other wild things. They thrive in our tropical temperatures which gives them plenty of food and water sources with which to survive and multiply.
If you live in Maui, chances are you are dealing with household pests of one sort or another, and pests can be much more than just a headache. They are potentially dangerous to your health and property. Pests, like the subterranean termite, will eat away at your home 24 hours a day non-stop. Rodents will spread illness and chew on wires in wall voids. Fleas are not just a major hassle, they can pass harmful diseases onto you and your pets, such as typhus and tapeworm. But take heart, because there are things you can do to protect yourself from these invasive insects and animals.
Hawaii is a tropical paradise, and humans aren't the only creatures that think so. Hawaii is home to an amazing variety of fauna. It is only a matter of time before your home gets an uninvited guest. You may even already have one, or two, or even three or more.
