Pearl City, Hawaii ― Michael Botha, owner of Sandwich Isle Pest Solutions, accepted two nominations this week for committee positions with the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), a non-profit organization that serves the pest management industry and boasts more than 7,000 members worldwide. These appointments, one for Fumigation Committee and one for Super Committee, will run from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.
The NPMA, headquartered in Fairfax, VA., just outside of Washington, D.C., is guided by the vision of knowledgeable industry professionals who serve by appointment to NPMA's board of directors and committees. Each year it selects leaders in the industry to create definitive sources for education, information and other resources, positively affect regulatory and legislative outcomes, and promote the importance of professional Pest Management.
As member of these two committees, the NPMA will draw upon Michael Botha considerable expertise in the field of fumigation and look to him as part of a "think tank" for the development of new or improved programs and services. He will play an active role in the development of NPMA educational programming and provide coordination among committees.
Michael Botha is an Associated Certified Entomologist and third generation Pest Management Professional.
