Immediate Opening for a Residential Outside Sales Representative

Position Description

To sell company services in a manner that enables the company to make a profit, increase market share and to increase its sales volume. This must be done in a manner that continually enhances our customer relations and our reputation in the marketplace. This is best done by fully utilizing the company Sales and Marketing Plan.  A Residential Outside Sales Representative is expected to be capable of cold calling and self generating leads in addition to following up on company generated leads.

Compensation

Paid Training for the first 3 months during which time Salespeople may also earn sales commission.  This is a full commission Sales Compensation Plan.  A successful salesperson can expect to earn greater than $40,000 per year in sales commissions.  

Responsibilities

  1. Establish new customer contacts, prospect for fresh leads, follow up all leads, write and submit proposals and network to stay abreast of activities in the market.

  2. Keep up to date on all company products and services as well as all regulatory requirements.

  3. Make inspections, prepare estimates and submit professional proposals.

  4. Work cooperatively with technicians, service supervisors, branch managers, customer service coordinators and other concerned personnel.

  5. Develop strong knowledge of your sales territory, keep good and complete records, help train new sales representatives, investigate customer and marketing problems, implement price increases and share customer information with other employees as needed.

  6. Establish good sales goals and then strive to meet those goals.

  7. Maintain key customer contact program.

  8. Perform other duties as required.

  9. Must be able to close sales.

Experience And Knowledge

Applicant should have one to three years of sales/service experience to residential customers. Must have good communication skills, both written and oral. Patience, perseverance, willingness to work hard and ability to listen well to the customer are necessary qualities. Must have a good personality and a desire to meet and satisfy the customer’s needs. A sense of humor and a thick skin are helpful. Must be a strong self-starter. A high school education and two to four years of college, or the equivalent experience, is required. Experience working alone with indirect supervision is preferred. Must be readily able to take and carry out instructions.

Must be capable of bending, stooping, kneeling and lots of walking. Must be able to lift and carry weights up to fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to drive standard shift vehicles. Must have valid driver license and produce a motor vehicle record showing three (3) or less chargeable violations over the past three (3) years.
